1. Controller

2. General Information on Data Processing

We generally only process our users' personal data insofar as this is necessary to provide our "Portchecks" service and its associated content and services. Processing typically only takes place with the user's consent or on the basis of one of the additional legal grounds set out in Art. 6 GDPR.

3. Provision of the Website (Log Files)

Each time our pages are accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the visiting device, in particular:

• User's IP address
• Date and time of access
• Requested URL / resource
• User agent (browser and operating system information)
• Referrer URL

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the stable, secure operation of the website). Retention: typically max. TODO days, then automated deletion.

4. User Account and Authentication

Using our service requires a user account. During sign-up we process the following data:

• Name
• E-Mail-Adresse
• Password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
• Optional: factors for two-factor authentication

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of the user contract).

5. Server and Port Check Configuration

Within your account you can create servers (label, IP address, notification email) and port checks (port, target state, interval). We process this data exclusively to run the automated checks you configure and notify you about deviations. The data is only visible to you.

6. Email Delivery via Mailgun

We use the Mailgun service (Mailgun Technologies, Inc.) to deliver notification emails (e.g. when a port check deviates from its target state) as well as transactional emails (sign-up, password reset, email verification). For this purpose, the recipient's email address, the message content and technical delivery metadata are transmitted to Mailgun.

7. Cookies and Sessions

We use technically necessary cookies / session storage to keep you signed in across page loads and to maintain application security (e.g. CSRF protection). This data is not analysed for marketing purposes.

8. Speicherdauer

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by statutory retention obligations. After deletion of your account, related servers, port checks and check logs are fully removed within TODO days.
